Fit Gym Time into Your Weekly Schedule

Fit Gym Time into Your Weekly Schedule

As a working professional, it can be difficult for you to fit exercise into your weekly schedule. You spend most of your time at the office, and the rest of your day is spent running errands or taking the kids to and from school. Getting to the gym is the last thing on your mind, but when you’re running low on energy or you’re noticing that you’ve added a few extra pounds, working out a few times a week might be beneficial for your health. At Lumen Naturals, we want to help you achieve your fitness and weight loss goals, and fitting gym time into your weekly schedule doesn’t have to be as hard as it seems.

Three Times a Week

One of the best ways to get in the gym on a weekly basis is to decide how many times you want to go, and stick to that decision. Three times a week can be a great place to start, and scheduling half an hour on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, can give you a day of rest between each workout. You don’t have to go all out, especially on the first day, and combining aerobic, muscle-building, and cardio exercises can help you focus on your entire body, instead of targeting just one area. It’s also important to stretch before exercising, and to incorporate a cool-down period at the end of your workout. If you belong to a local gym, take the time to talk to a trainer, and perhaps even have him or her design an easy workout regimen for you to follow.

Easing Back Into It

If you’ve been away from the gym for a long time, it’s important to ease back into exercising. Sitting down at the bench press and trying to lift as much weight as you can is a sure way to injure yourself, perhaps seriously. If you’re familiar with some simple exercises, such as dumbbell curls or pull-ups, start with those and then spend 10 minutes on the treadmill or elliptical. With cardio, the same rule applies – don’t go all out right away, or you could be pushing your body beyond what it can handle.

Once you’ve begun working out again, making the commitment to stick to it is the only way it will become a habit. If your goal is to build lean muscle or to lose a few pounds, look through our natural supplements for products that can help you on your journey. Each supplement in our store contains ingredients that can give your body the fuel it needs to get through your workout and finish strong each day, no matter what you have planned.
